MISSION STATEMENT

To enhance the worship experience of all persons attending services at Sacred Heart through the work of the subcommittees.

The subcommittees:

ALTAR SOCIETY: That all who enter and pray in our Church may experience everything ready for the celebration of Mass.

Has the responsibility of preparing the church from the floors to the vessels.

ALTAR SERVERS: That altar servers may regard their ministry as an honor to serve the priest in offering the sacrifice of Jesus’ Great Love for us.

Recruits, trains and schedules to assist in all services.

ENVIRONMENT: That our church decorations may center the hearts of all people on prayer as they worship.

Responsible for decorating the church for all holidays and ordinary time; maintaining

and watering all plants on a weekly basis.

LECTORS: That lectors may consider their ministry a challenge in Proclaiming the Word of God while striving to live the message in one’s own heart and life.

Recruits, trains and schedules all ministers.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: That Eucharistic Ministers may realize the sacredness

of their ministry in giving the GREATEST GIFT -the Body and Blood of Jesus- to others.

Recruits, trains and schedules all ministers.

MUSIC: That our choirs may draw the congregation closer to Jesus through the music ministry as they sing/play with and from their hearts, while leading the congregation to prayer through song.

Recruits and trains singers and musicians in music ministry.

USHERS: That ushers may serve others with care, friendship, and hospitality.

Recruits, trains and schedules ushers for all services.

GOAL: To have all participants at Mass work as a team to seamlessly [with no one person or group making themselves more important than the whole] work together to focus on the Mass, the death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
